Take Care of Mama Bear Challenge
As a new Mama I quickly realized that I had underestimated the amount of work it entails. I’m amazed at the overwhelming feeling I get at the end of each day when I face the fact that I haven’t been able to do all I had on my ever-so-long checklist!
I always run around hoping for a little break here and there so I can catch my breath, go to the bathroom and eat something (all at the same time, because let’s face it I don’t have time to waste!)
Most days I barely make it to bed and feel disappointed about myself for not being able to concentrate on simple tasks and/or remember to call back a friend or simply text them back to let them know I did not forget about them (Ok yes I did, but it’s not my fault if my LO decided to shove a toy in her mouth right when I was about to text and then started screaming her lungs out because I took the toy away from her and it took me 10 min to make her forget about it, which means I also forget what I was doing at the time I got interrupted and moved onto the next task!) So add to the mix some guilt while you’re at it and TA-DA here I present to you my exhausted self.
Now I’m ready to finally let my limbs touch the dreamy, fantastic matress and… here comes the hubby wanting some attention from me…
UUURRRGGGGHHHH When does this day end????? Or How do I make it last longer so I can get more stuff done??? How many times did I ask myself these questions!?!
Oh and did I mention the blowouts? I don’t know about you but the fights with my husband got way more intense than before! Sometimes I wonder if I’m the same person?
